2006 Mitsubishi Pajero Owner's Manual

Pajero is equipped with the Advanced Super Select 4WD all-wheel drive system. It allows you to switch from economical single-axle drive mode to all-wheel drive mode directly while driving at speeds up to 100 km/h. If the ground under the wheels is viscous, the driver can engage the center differential lock so that the power is evenly distributed to both axles, and thus increase traction.
Under the hood of the Mitsubishi Pajero Wagon, one of three engines can be installed – a 3-liter gasoline V6 (178 hp, 261 Nm), a 3.8-liter unit of the same architecture (250 hp, 329 Nm), and also a 4-cylinder 200-horsepower 3.2-liter turbodiesel. The gearbox, depending on the engine, can be either a 5-speed manual or automatic with the same number of gears.

Changes in the exterior and interior of the updated Pajero are minimal. Only the grille, front bumper and rims have undergone light refinement. The roof rails have changed color from silver to black, and the instrument panel is illuminated in red instead of blue.
