From the point of view of the chassis, the Mirage is relatively simple. The car is built on a platform with McPherson struts in the front suspension and a torsion beam in the rear. Japanese engineers installed disc brakes on the front wheels, and drum brakes on the rear wheels. 14-inch wheels are standard on the Mirage, but 15-inch wheels can be ordered for an extra charge.
The Mitsubishi Mirage is supplied to the European market with a 1.0-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 70 hp. With. and a torque of 88 Nm at 5000 rpm, as well as with a 1.2-liter unit that produces 79 “horses” and 106 Nm. Both engines are in-line 3-cylinders with multipoint fuel injection. Paired with the first unit, only a 5-speed manual gearbox works, while the variator can also be aggregated with the second. Depending on the configuration, Mirage fuel consumption varies between 4.1-4.3 liters per 100 kilometers in the combined cycle.
