My first SUV. Before that, there were the following cars: Opel Astra H, Ford Focus sedan, Scoda Octavia A5 1.8TSI. But the family grew and even the legendary trunk of Octavia became cramped))). In addition, a boat with a trailer appeared at disposal. And if Octavia pulls him along the track, he will not be lowered into the water everywhere. I had to switch to MPS 2, 5MKP, diesel…

First impressions:

1. Fuel consumption. In terms of money, it is the same (well, maybe 5% more) as refueling a Scoda Octavia A5 1.8TSI. Yes, in liters MPS eats more, but the price of diesel is also lower.
2. Dynamics. I did not feel a particular difference, except that the MPS is still more massive and it sways significantly. But if there is a need to overtake, the car copes “with a bang”
3. Passability. Legendary. Many videos have been shot about it. And practice proves that it is true. The main advice is normal tires. Also, who said that for the city you need to have a small car to park more easily? With MPS, parking is not a problem at all. The high profile of the tires saves from unexpected potholes on the roads. I get into them periodically. Never “made it” to the end.
4. Comfort. Ambiguous assessments are already appearing here. On the one hand, the height of the landing, pleasant rocking as in a ship (often even for no apparent reason and on a flat road) pleases me.

Conclusion: MPS is a car for the city and off-road. But not for long trips. It’s time to cash in on the LC200.
