Mitsubishi i-MiEV 2013 does not have an internal combustion engine at all, it is replaced by a traction motor. Its maximum power is 47 kW/64 hp. at 3 thousand revolutions, the maximum torque is 180 Nm from 0 revolutions. The electric motor does not need a gearbox and is directly interlocked with the final drive and differential.

Lithium-ion batteries (nominal battery capacity – 16 kWh) are placed extremely low on the Mitsubishi i-MiEV chassis. The operating voltage in the traction e-network is quite high – 330 V; from a household 220-volt power supply, the batteries are charged in about 7 hours. Whereas through a powerful 3-phase connector (50 A), the battery is “refueled” by 80% in just half an hour; wherever it went.
