2009 Mitsubishi Galant Owner's Manual

Mitsubishi Galant has the highest level of passive and active safety. Nowhere else have you felt more secure than in the cabin of the new Galant. The excellent passive safety of the new Galant is provided by the proprietary RISE (Realised Impact Safety Evolution) safety body technology. This technology is designed on a supercomputer and worked out during numerous crash tests. It includes a very strong and rigid roll cage around the cabin and specially programmed crumple zones to dissipate impact energy.
For additional protection of the driver and passengers, Galant uses the SRS system, which includes front airbags for the driver and front passenger, side airbags and curtain airbags on the windows. All this allowed the Mitsubishi Galant to receive 5 stars (the highest rating) for NHTSA passive safety in the USA.
The Mitsubishi Galant active safety package includes an anti-lock braking system with an integrated electronic brake force distribution (EBD) system that provides directional stability and safety when braking on slippery roads.
Safety electric windows and an electric sunroof, thanks to the auto-lock system, prevent pinching of fingers during careless use. This is especially true if your family has small children.
Mitsubishi Galant with an ultra-modern, powerful 2.4-liter Mitsubishi 4G69 MIVEC engine and increased dynamics is a pleasure to drive. The motor was created on the basis of well-proven Mitsubishi Motors technologies, taking into account the latest achievements of science and technology in order to improve their performance.
