The 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander has its own hybrid power-unit. It is two electric motors, each on its axis (which productivity in comparison with the previous model has grown). The front one gives out 116 hp and 255 Nm, the rear one – 136 hp and 195 Nm. The power generator is 2.4-liter atmospheric engine (which hasn’t changed) with output of 133 hp and 195 Nm. It fills a 20 kWh battery, which should suffice for 83-87 kilometers.
The same applies to the base powerplant – 2.5-liter atmospheric engine (PR25DD), which produces 184 hp and 245 Nm in the American market. It comes exclusively with a CVT variator, and both front- and all-wheel drive are available.
Electronics independently distributes the traction to the axles in accordance with the driving conditions. In addition, the traction control system AYC (Active Yaw Control) is implemented on both axles with the braking of the wheels.
The list of available for 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander equipment includes adaptive cruise control, system of automatic braking before obstacles, system of a lane-keeping and active monitoring of blind zones, camera of all-around vision, projection display, three-zoned climate control, semi-aniline leather on seats, a driver’s armchair with memory of positions, Bose audio system with 10 loudspeakers. In addition, the crossover can be equipped with a panoramic roof, 20-inch wheels and electric fifth door drive.
