The new engine the Mitsubishi ASX uses to run on is the same one that was recently used in the Renault Captur, which is understandable considering the fact that the two are twins to each other. It has 1.2 liter, turbocharged, 116 hp, engine with a six-speed manual transmission, and a standard Stop&Start system which minimally affects the fuel consumption in the city.

Official numbers demonstrate that now the cheapest Mitsubishi ASX is able to reach a maximum speed of 182 km/h and accelerate between 0 and 100 km/h in 11.2 seconds. The average fuel consumption is 5.2 L/100km and CO2 is 126g/km. It has the Spanish Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) C environmental rating.

Apolitely, some 1 month ago Mitsubishi announced the introduction of a new and highly intriguing special edition to its flag ships Mitsubishi ASX and Outlander, which they named Black Edition series. A highly equipped model with a complete assortment of unique design features that make both SUVs have a more sophisticated and classy appearance.

Its smallest SUV has become the priority of the Japanese brand. This is logical, because the ASX is the most sold SUV by Mitsubishi in Spain. Pricing in Spain has been added to the new Mitsubishi ASX Black Edition. The order books have been opened and the initial deliveries will be done shortly. We can have a closer look at the main characteristics of this special edition, which are equipment, powertrains, and pricing.

The fully hybrid system of ASX and Grandis with a combined power up to 116 kW (160 hp) combines six major components: an 80 kW (110 hp) naturally aspirated 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, the main electric motor of 36 kW (50 hp), the secondary motor of 15 kW (20 hp), a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion traction battery, the power electronic control unit, and the intelligent multi-mode automatic transmission.

This design can be driven in all-electric mode as far as 80% of urban driving, which will also produce very little noise and emissions and will increase comfort. Intelligent energy management guarantees that kinetic energy has been high during braking and deceleration and the energy is stored in the high-voltage battery to be used later.

In Spain, the new Mitsubishi ASX Black Edition is available.

The ASX Black Edition of the new Mitsubishi is now available in pricing. ASX Black Edition Mitsubishi ASX is a well-equipped special edition that has an elegant design.
The introduction of this special edition has seen the ASX line up revised into the Motion, Black Edition, Kaiteki and Kaiteki+ trim levels.

As far as the new 1.8-liter engine that will be introduced to Mitsubishi ASX is concerned, the only fact that has been certain is the fact that the new engine will also be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. It will also be the engine of the Japanese RVR, though it will be combined with TC-SST dual-clutch automatic. Regarding the technical specifications of the ASX, Mitsubishi has so far not disclosed any great details; although, it has affirmed that its new turbodiesel will comply with the Euro 5 emissions levels. In addition, the Japanese brand promises to make its new small crossover to be differentiated by its environmental efficiency, which will have much to do with the ‘Automatic Stop & Go’ engine stop-start system the new vehicle will be equipped with. In terms of design, the Mitsubishi ASX has a lot of the Japanese brand aesthetic DNA, particularly on the front part, which reminds the Outlander, Colt, or Lancer.
